Cynthia Schoppmann, MA, RP, CCC
I work from a client-centred approach, working collaboratively with my clients in determining their goals for therapy. I integrate a variety of theories and tools in working with my clients, since I believe a multi-disciplinary approach often works best. No problem is too big or too small to take that first step to reach out for help and support. I will work with you to help you feel empowered and able to navigate whatever difficult situations you might be facing.
I recognize that some individuals might not have health care benefits at their place of work and/or are in more constrained financial positions. I currently supervise interns in my private practice, offering sliding-scale rates. This allows clients to access the mental health support that they might need but at a cost that they can afford.

Barbara Aufgang
Life has a way of throwing us curveballs that can be overwhelming. I am a mom to two young adults and have faced many life transitions and difficult challenges such as relationship separation, career changes, and caregiving for family members facing mental and physical health concerns. These transitions provided me an opportunity to learn who I really am, as opposed to who I think I should be. I draw from Solution Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Narrative, Strength-Based, and Existential Therapy when working with clients. I also work with clients living with OCD using Exposure Response Prevention Therapy.

Although I work mainly from a client-centered approach, which means that the client takes an active role in the therapeutic process, I also combine other approaches in order to meet each individual’s unique personality and needs. I aim to create a safe environment and develop strong relationship with my clients. I have a driving passion for my work, immense empathy for my clients and hope for healing and fostering well-being.
