Having lived experience with emotional eating, Hilary is focussing on helping others who struggle with emotional eating, food addiction, &/or binge eating disorder. She also works extensively with adult clients with anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, trauma, stress & work/life balance problems among others. Hilary tailors her approach to her individual clients' needs, drawing on CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), Solution Focussed, & Psychodynamic therapies. She incorporates mindfulness, humour, & practical strategies into her work with clients.

BA in Psychology from UPEI 2000
MSW from Wilfrid Laurier 2001
Experience
After graduating with her MSW, Hilary worked for two years on the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) of the Royal Ottawa Brockville campus. She worked for a community mental health agency for 8 years before starting her own private practice in 2012.
